Kurly (Daniel Sumner)
Kurly is a Ngarrindjeri artist who is diverse in many angles of humanity, cultures, art with an understanding that the spirit is in the land. Representing Indigenous peoples in the outer skirts of the city but living within the inner-city. Kurly uses multiple platforms to express his interpretation of what it's like to be a proud Aboriginal man. From the bloodwood to the desert oak. From the tramline to the Koorong where the Murray River meets the sea. From Worawa Aboriginal College, which he was taught a lot of beauty, knowledge, and understanding of many clans in this country we live in which Kurly calls the blood land, simply because it bleeds through everybody.
